Satanism - Libertarian or "Fascist"?

The inanity of the Libertarianism at present being insinuated into American Satanism is itself nothing but a product of the inanity of American "culture". It is ironic that those Libertarians claiming to embrace "the deity of rebellion" should themselves be conditioned results of the U.S. mass education, entertainment and media System. Far from "rebelling", these Libertarian-Satanists are simply parts of the status quo.

The Libertarians have embarked on an anti-Fascist crusade. Their chief spokesman is Jeffrey Deboo, editor of DARK REFLECTIONS, whose principle articles so far dealing with what he sees as "the Fascist infiltration of Satanism" (sic) are the widely reprinted "Nazism, Racism and Satanism", and "Fascism and the Deity of Rebellion". The most notable thing about his position is that it is based entirely on empty rhetoric, without the wearisome need to resort to actual historic specifics. Erroneous Libertarian assumptions are considered sufficient, in his delusional state, for "Fascist Satanists" such as Michael Moynihan and myself to be awed by his intellectual acumen.

THE REBELS OF FASCISM

Mr Deboo's main point is that since Satan is the archetype of rebellion, his individualism is antithetical to totalitarian ideologies such as Fascism. He contends that "Fascist Satanists" such as myself would not be tolerated by Fascist regimes. What Mr Deboo doesn't realize is that Fascism was founded by the "individualists and eccentrics" he thinks he's championing. The first fasci was established in Italy in 1918 by the Futurists led by Marinetti. The latter went on to found the Fascist Party with Mussolini in 1919. Marinetti became head of the Fascist Writer's Union, was elected to the Academy, and the influence of Futurism on Fascism was maintained for the duration of the regime. Marinetti and that other leading Italian eccentric and individualist D'Annunzio regarded themselves - and were regarded by the regime - as the precursors of Fascism.

Other avant-garde writers and artists such as those around Ezra Pound, Wyndham Lewis and the Vorticist movement in England, supported Fascism as the defence against the stupefying effects of democracy on culture. Ezra Pound in particular saw Fascism as the opponent of plutocracy which he considered to be infecting all forms of human activity. He was granted radio facilities by the Italian Government to broadcast against plutocracy during the war. In contrast with the Allied victory the Americans incarcerated him in an animal cage, after which he was confined for years in a lunatic asylum, and denied literary awards solely due to his politics.

What Mr Deboo et al don't realize, because they have no political or historical knowledge, is that the American Revolutionary War against England was of precisely the same order as the War between the Axis and the Allies. Both were fought over the issue of plutocracy.

REVOLT AGAINST THE PLUTOCRATS

Ben Franklin wrote: "The Colonies would gladly have borne the little tax on tea and other matters had it not been that England took away their money, which created unemployment and dissatisfaction."

What Franklin was referring to was the "Colonial Scrip" the colonies had issued according to "the demands of trade and industry", without recourse to the usury of private banking. The Bank of England replied by putting through Parliament in 1764 an Act prohibiting the issue of Colonial Scrip. The Scrip was devalued by 50%, and Franklin stated that within a year the streets were filled with the unemployed. The American Founding Fathers in the Constitution provided the Government with the prerogative to issue its own credit. This right was undermined over the decades through various mechanations, culminating in the Reserve Bank Act of 1913.

Likewise, the Axis powers and Fascism generally, sought a system of "autarky", or national economic self-sufficiency. The Fascist states gained prosperity while the democracies under the thralldom of plutocracy suffered economic depression until the War. Compare Franklin's statement with Hitler's in 1937: "We have come to learn that the value of the currency lies in the capacity of the nation." Additionally Germany pulled out of the world trade system and instituted a system of bartering surplus products.

Mr Deboo, despite his imagined adherence to the "deity of rebellion", condemns one of the few epochal rebellions in history.

WHIG LIBERALISM AND SOCIAL DARWINISM

Another feature of Libertarian-Satanism is the misapplication of Darwinian evolutionary principles to economics in what is called "Social Darwinism". The latter was formulated by 19th C. Whig Liberalism to rationalize unrestrained capitalism without the need to consider the consequences to the nation as a whole. Contemporary Libertarian-Satanism is merely an attempt to revive the corpse of 19th C. Whig Liberalism. It is a doctrine that has latterly been tried without success in several countries including New Zealand.

The Libertarian's "Social Darwinism" rests on a contempt for the "mass" or "herd" as a supposed application of "Satanic misanthropy" and "rational self-interest". The belief is that, like a century ago, the superior will rise to the top while the rest can sink or swim. This "Social Darwinism" is the misapplication of "the survival of the fittest" to economics. This is held to be true eugenics in operation, as opposed to Fascist eugenics which necessitates State intervention. What the Libertarians do not recognize is that the social organism is itself a collective survival unit. Altruism, which would be considered most unSatanic, is in origin ultimately selfish, true "rational self-interest", based on the principle, "you scratch my back; I'll scratch yours." The individual organism enhances its own survival, and thus the perpetuation of its genes, by subordinating itself to an organic social order. This is precisely what Fascism implemented on a political level.

The tendency among some American Satanists to be pre-occupied with their position of superiority above "the herd", which they view with revulsion, is reflected in their indignation at the prospect of any form of commitment to anything wider than themselves. It is a view that prevailed among the petty shop keepers and bankers in 19th C. England.

FAUSTIANISM, OR THE SCRAP-HEAP?

The result was that an oligarchy grew prosperous while leaving the bulk of its fellow citizens to rot, misapplying the new-found Darwinian theory as an intellectual prop. Results of this Libertarian vision splendid included the relegation of the unemployed to the work houses where families were seperated, where mothers had to keep watch lest their babies' fingers were gnawed; where three year olds worked in the pits.

One "Satanist" writing in The Black Flame lauded the deportations to Australia as a "Satanic" measure to rid England of its "human locust" (sic). (Bradford de Rastrick, "Some Thoughts on Pentagonal Revisionism" TBF Vol.5 #1 & 2).

Yet those who were deported were the very individualists who had the courage and initiative to organize labour unions, for eg (which surely made THEM the rebels against the status quo) or those that stole some scrap in an effort to feed their families. So far from Australia being the Establishmentarian "Satanists eugenic dumping ground" for redundant humanity, the Australians, in a collective Nietzschean effort of self-overcoming, soon developed a strong sense of national identity (reflected at an early date in the Eureka rebellion, for eg) and a uniquely Australian culture formed by such geniuses as the writer Percy Stephenson (friend of Crowley's and a pro-Fascist) and the Nietzschean/pagan painter Norman Lindsay.

What Whig-Liberalism represented was a colossal waste of a nation's most valuable resource, its citizens, because it eschewed any form of social organization and national planning.

The Libertarian-Satanists claim to advocate "meritocracy" via their laissare faire sink-or-swim attitude. Yet because they are ignorant of political and economical realities, they do not understand that there cannot be even a semblence of meritocracy until such time as plutocracy is eliminated. And that is precisely what Fascism did.

There can be no meritocracy as long as the individual is constrained by the insecurity of usurious mortgages and other interest rates on compound debt; or the possibility of unemployment by unrestrained world trade, free credit movement and transnational company relocations, over which he can have absolutely no control, whatever his personal merits.

But any attempt by the state to establish any form of social order is decried by the Libertarians as tyranny and an intrusion on their delusionary "freedom".

Fascism sought to harness its citizens to creative tasks. It gave each individual the opportunity to fulfill their potential without recourse to egalitarian fantasies. It enabled every citizen to be elevated culturally through programmes such as "Strength Through Joy". The results were seen even by avid anti-Nazis such as William Shirer who admitted that:

"The young in the Third Reich were growing up to have strong and healthy bodies, faith in the future of their country and in themselves and a sense of fellowship and comraderie that shattered all class and economic and social barriers. I thought of that later, in the May days of 1940, when along the road between Aachen and Brussels one saw the contrast between the German soldiers, bronzed and clean-cut from a youth spent in the sunshine on an adequate diet, and the first British war prisoners, with the hollow chests, round shoulders, pasty complexions and bad teeth - tragic examples of the youth that England had neglected so irresponsibly in the years between the wars."

It seems clear enough, from actual results, what regime implemented genuine evolutionary principles, true Social Darwinism.

In the final analysis the difference between the Libertarian-Satanist and the "Fascist-Satanists" are fundamental: the former see Satanism as nothing more than rampant individualism to the point of trivialising life itself; the latter see Satanism as a Nietzschean/Faustian imperative towards continuing human ascent - both biological and cultural.

Nazism, Racism & Satanism - An Answer....

I first read Jeffrey Deboo's "Nazism, Racism and Satanism" in The Black Flame (Vol.3/Num.1 & 2), forum of the CHURCH OF SATAN. Since then, it has been reprinted in other Satanic forums more often than any other article which I can recall. Deboo is editing his own magazine - Dark Reflections - which he advertises as "Satanism without Fascist/racist/authoritarian nonsense."

Despite his anti-Fascist, libertarian obsession, Deboo manages to hang on to the coat-tails of the CHURCH OF SATAN, while declaring himself to be "independent", although CHURCH OF SATAN Magister Peter Gilmore has written in The Black Flame (Vol.4/Num.1 & 2):

"In as much as Fascism stands for an embracing of the Natural Order and a rejection of "anything goes" attitudes that have hindered our society, particularly since the 1960's, then Fascists we are."

CHURCH OF SATAN High Priest Anton La Vey has himself stated in The Black Flame (Vol.4/Num.3 & 4):

"If a neo-Fascist look - or outlook - makes for men who look like men and women who look like women, I am all for it."

Turning to Deboo's anti-Fascist epistle, he begins by quoting Mein Kampf, where Hitler states that the creation of a culture is predicated on the willingness of individuals to subordinate their selfish tendencies to the wider interests of the Volkish community.

Deboo's "Satanism" is the type of "Hyper-individualism" Hitler condemns as having been a weakening factor in Germany during the Weimar regime. Deboo states that Hitler recognized that the masses were sheeplike - but rather than deploring this, he applauded it...

But what is the use of deploring facts, rather than recognizing them when making State policy? It is Communism that tried to overcome nature, including human nature. Is not Satanism supposed to be the "carnal doctrine", recognizing the laws of nature (as Fascism did) rather than seeking to negate them with dogma? What of man as "just another animal", as La Vey put it?

Recognition of the herdlike nature of man is just a realization that man is tribal like other species, and has that "life collective" (as Friedrich Nietzsche put it) within, its natural outstanding leaders, who must necessarily be individuals themselves.

National-Socialism sought to harness the outstanding individual to the service of the Volk community (tribe), just as the best is selected in a herd to lead, rather than to let the outstanding individual waste and rot as democratic societies do.

To quote Hitler:

"The progress and culture of humanity are not a product of the majority, but rest exclusively on the genius and energy of the personality."

And indeed, it is the rootlessness of America which has caused its great artists either to exile themselves from the cultural sewer of America, or to die in rejection. While National-Socialist Germany was patronizing its great artists, T.S.Eliot, Ezra Pound, Hemingway and Scott Fitzgerald left those sterile shores, the latter returning to die of alcoholic poisoning. Other literary figures such as Hart Crane and Thomas Heggen committed suicide before their prime. Pound was caged in Italy then returned to America to be committed in a lunatic asylum for opposing the Roosevelt war-mongering regime, and denied literary honours on political grounds solely.

Yet Deboo still pontificates about how National-Socialist Germany killed or exiled its cultural elite. But who is he referring to? A bunch of Dadaist dabblers or some profit-driven pornographers?

Deboo has visions (or nightmares?) of Hitler as "the jackbooted pontiff whose mezmerizing voice holds his flock in his thrall" with "no La Vey challenging each man to live for himself..." Yet what La Vey writes of is of the Satanist coming forth in splendour "through his Satanic might" proudly proclaiming: "I am a Satanist. Bow down, for I am the highest embodiment of human life!" in The Satanic Bible.

Deboo then condemns racism in typical libertarian terms as a collectivism that confers automatic superiority or inferiority on an individual according to his race, regardless of his actual ability. But it is precisely the recognition of innate differences - not only between races but within races - that is the basis of National-Socialism. However, the National-Socialist regime saw as its duty the elevation of the humblest citizen to the highest possible cultural level. It also recognized that one cannot appreciate culture too well with an empty stomach, a destitute family and no secure income. Hence the pioneering social and economic reforms. This cultural elevation it set about to achieve by providing subsidized excursions to the humblest worker who was given opportunities to appreciate his nation's culture which had formerly been reserved for the wealthier classes. What do you think "Strength through Joy" was, Deboo? Compulsory weight-lifting classes?

Deboo illustrates his point:

"Indeed, Hitler's first followers, his Brownshirts, were recruited from the trash of Germany, the failures and the brawlers of the streets who resented the creative and successful people in their own country."

One wonders what episode of Hogan's Heroes Deboo has been watching! These "brownshirted scum" were for the most part war-veterans, many of whom had their livelihoods destroyed by the disastrous Weimar regime and the Versailles Diktat and who fought back rather than wimper as Deboo would prefer.

Deboo next compares National-Socialism with Medieval Christianity, both being held as "conformist" ideologies which killed or exiled "the most creative and independent minds". "Nazism was a revolt of the street-trash which wiped out or drove away the country's true elite", we are reminded again.

No, Deboo, Communism was a revolt of the street-trash, against which the Brownshirts laid down their lives fighting.

The National-Socialist State instituted a meritocracy based on talent rather than on the selection of rulers by head-counting; as in democracy. The Cabinet included such people as Dr. Walter Darré, minister of agriculture, whose advice as an agricultural expert had been widely sought after by European governments, Dr. Wilhelm Frick, minister of the interior, widely known throughout Europe as a patron of chamber music (yes, the street-trash!), Bernard Rust, minister of science and education, who had twice turned down an offer of professorship in favour of a more humble teaching position which he considered a more practical way to help German youth.

Indeed, looking at the 1938 Reich Cabinet, out of its twenty members, nine held doctorates, with others such as Rudolf Hess holding degrees and diplomas of some type.

It was precisely because Germany was reconstructing its cultural life that some of the greatest intellectuals and artists in Europe backed her. They saw the possibilities of a general European cultural renaissance.

Arno Breker's sculptures, and other neo-classical art and architecture adorned public buildings and parks. Intellectuals of lasting impact such as Heidegger, and writers of the stature of Pound and Knut Hamsen declared themselves supporters of the regime.

The democrats' answer was to bomb a defenceless open city - Dresden - primarily because it was a cultural centre; and to consign Europe's cultural elite to death, to jail, or to clean the streets as part of "denazification". And Breker's sculptures were sledgehammered by American G.I.'s.

The significance of National-Socialism for Satanists is more specifically that it tapped the shadow of the repressed European collective unconscious, releasing a great Dionysian or Wotanic creative urge, viewed favourably by Carl Jung.

Deboo goes on praising La Vey for having always rejected "with contempt" overtures from "neo-Nazis", thereby defending the "integrity of the Satanic philosophy". But what can we make of the association of Boyd Rice and Michael Moynihan (the former, if not the latter, belonging to the priesthood of the CHURCH OF SATAN) with the CHURCH OF SATAN? Or of La Vey's gift of an autographed copy of The Satanic Bible to National-Socialist ideologue James Mason, whose book Siege was heavily advertised in The Black Flame?

Deboo finally ends with a warning that any association with Nazism "will derail the Satanist movement into the junkyard of failed ideas and missed opportunities". Yet his own ideology, somehow masquerading as "Satanism", is just a rehash of the Nineteenth Century whig-liberalism with that dash of inanity that is typical of the Homo Americanus. Deboo, far from being a "Satanic adversary" of entrenched orthodoxy is just a low-grade promoter of the status-quo, an echoer of fifty-year-old System clichés against one of the most heretical movements in history.

Occultism and National-Socialism (Part III)

III - Cosmic Reich
What do you think was the esoteric current behind the Third Reich and Hitler/the NSDAP? Did this derive from an ancient tradition, or was it of fairly recent origin via Thule, for example?

Basically, and as I mentioned in my The Enlightenment of National-Socialism, Adolf Hitler was a means whereby the cosmos restored the balance that had been lost. By creating the National-Socialist movement and by creating the Third Reich, Adolf Hitler gave us as Aryans the means to achieve that balance without which our further evolution, as Aryans, is impossible. In brief, he restored us to our unique racial psyche. Furthermore, he revealed the Destiny of our whole human species, and made that Destiny possible. That is, he revealed the truths about race, racial ethos and culture, individual excellence, and triumphing over adversity through using our will to change ourselves for the better.

He did this naturally, not mystically. That is, he was in a profound way supra-human and self-contained: the cosmos in evolution and being made manifest in an individual. I do not mean this in a 'theological' sense, but in a naturalistic way: he was what most of us have the potential to become; a more highly evolved being. What existed, esoterically or otherwise, before his emergence is now irrelevant - he himself, and his movement, are the esoteric  current of our times and of the next Aeon. He relied on no previous esoteric current, and was not part of any - he was and is the current. This was why esoteric groups, including Thule, were banned in the Third Reich - they were not necessary, were irrelevant or were detrimental to the energies National-Socialism had unleashed and was using to re-shape us and the cosmos. In some ways, Thule helped prepare the way for Adolf Hitler - with his emergence, Thule was no longer necessary. The various NS organizations, such as the SS, became the practical means to achieve the transformations necessary. What has not even now been understood, except by a very few, is that National-Socialism was and is a practical alchemy which can achieve the goal that all genuine 'esoteric' groups seek to achieve: a new, higher, being. Moreover, and importantly, National-Socialism seeks to and can make this goal real for the majority, not just a select few.

I can only repeat that all esoteric groups which existed before Adolf Hitler are either now irrelevant, or, if they still exist, are now detrimental to future development: to the creation of higher beings. The only significant and important esoteric groups which now exist are those which, understanding the cosmic importance of Adolf Hitler, covertly or otherwise prepare the way for, and encourage, the future triumph of National-Socialism and 'esoteric Hitlerism'. Notice I did not restrict myself to mentioning 'Aryan' esoteric groups, for ultimately National-Socialism will enable our evolution as a whole species, as I have briefly explained in The Enlightenment of National-Socialism. Considering the archetypal scope of NS and Hitler, do you consider that the persecution and hatred directed against these might actually be empowering them psychically? And, in general, if persecution actually serves to empower its target, could this not also be said for overt opposition to, for example, Christianity and Zionism? If correct, how can this paradox be resolved? Persecution and hatred only empower up to a point. The energies so produced are limited, and beyond that point become destructive. What is archetypal needs to be made real; the psychic model which exists in people's psyche needs to be constructed in real life, 'in the world', and this means numinous energy. In its birth-time, and for a while afterwards, a new archetype can be empowered by persecution and hatred - but to thrive, to grow, to affect a multitude, to become real, it has to receive this numinous energy.

This, however, arises naturally from those 'touched' by the archetype, and whose lives and actions further empower it. In a sense, it is a symbiotic relationship, a coming-together of two types of being, an archetypal one, not bound by causal space-time, and a 'human' being, living in causal space-time. The archetype gives strength, balance and 'wholeness' to individuals - and yet it itself becomes strengthened by this bond.

Few people really understand archetypes. They are living - they are born, they flourish, and they die. They are not an 'intellectual abstraction' for people to pretend to understand and try to use. Neither are they mystical in the sense of being 'incomprehensible'.

After the banning of esoteric groups by the Third Reich, what occult influence continued to impact upon the Third Reich, and did it have tangible organizational form? Who were its principal exponents?

There was no occult influence - for Adolf Hitler and the National-Socialist movement expressed all that was necessary, with the various National-Socialist organizations giving tangible form to the evolutionary energies which Adolf Hitler unleashed and controlled. What needs to be understood is that all these various organizations were necessary for the correct balance to be achieved and thus a numinous society, or State, created. National-Socialist Germany was more than just another State - it was the first time, in the history of our evolution as a species, that a State-form was used in an evolutionary way. Indeed, a new form was thereby created, and this form is so revolutionary, so crucial for our future as a species and as 'thinking-beings', that its importance cannot at this time be over-estimated.

There has been a tendency to try and identify the SS as the most important 'esoteric-type' organization of the Reich - as some sort of 'mystical' organization which embodied the principles of National-Socialism in a higher form. This tendency shows a basic mis-understanding of National-Socialism,
the SS itself, and in particular what National-Socialist Germany was. The SS was a warrior organization, with an Aryan warrior ethos, and as such exemplified some of the highest Aryan ideals. It was also intended to be archetypal - creating its own traditions, and bringing about, partly through the test of combat, the development of higher beings. But other organizations embodied other Aryan ideals, and all of them together were necessary and vital for a healthy, balanced society to be achieved. The SS was a vital and necessary part of the practical organic whole that was National Socialist Germany.

Were Hitler and others such as the mystically-inclined Hess and Himmler fully conscious themselves of their Aeonic roles, and perhaps even of their fated Destiny?

Adolf Hitler and Rudolf Hess certainly were aware of these things. Hess himself wrote, in 57 yf, after the victorious allies had hanged eleven Germans at Nuremberg: "What the death of these Eleven will one day mean, but few today can suspect, much less can I write about. We are standing on the threshold of a great new age. What we are all going through are its birthpangs. Everything seems negative - yet despite it all, the time is coming when something new and great will be born."

How do you perceive the Third Reich and its defeat in Aeonic terms? Was it a premature experiment for something that did not belong to this Aeon - or perhaps the seeding for something centuries hence that was required to be established in this century in order to work itself upon future centuries?

The Third Reich - or as I prefer to call it, the first National-Socialist Reich - was a prelude to what might yet be. Its destruction, and the immolation of Adolf Hitler, provide us with the inspiration we must have to continue our upward development by creating a practical means, such as a State, which enables us to achieve this evolutionary development. Because of the work of Adolf Hitler and his German followers, because of the destruction of this work by our racial enemies, we have the weapons we must have in order to secure a future for ourselves and our race. We also now have the tools to build a new civilization greater than any existing hitherto. But this future and this new and higher civilized are not inevitable because of these things - they are not fated to be. Whether they will be, depends on us; on whether we pick up those weapons and those tools, and on how we use them.

Adolf Hitler has left us a great legacy. We can either use that legacy, and so achieve greatness; or we can ignore that legacy, and so choose doom as a race. If we as a race reject this legacy, we deserve to perish. We either survive, flourish and create new civilizations; or we endure oppression, and gradually die out. Using this legacy, it is possible for us, or our descendants, to win back our freedom, and so create another National-Socialist Reich, within twenty to fifty years from now. If this is not done - because we or our descendants prefer oppression and self-indulgence - then this legacy can still be used by others some time in the future to create a new Reich, provided of course there are still pure Aryans around then. But unless we act soon, the one great possibility which awaits - and which will secure civilization forever - will be postponed and may never arise again. I refer of course to a Galactic Empire. We are uniquely placed, given our Thorian technology and our understanding, to
begin the process which will ensure the creation of this Empire. But if this is not done soon - if there is a long period of Zionist oppression, an interregnum - then this will no longer be feasible for many, many centuries; and may indeed  never be feasible again, even if sufficient Aryans survive. This will be so because during this interregnum the Thorian ethos will decline and die, as will the technology which exemplifies that ethos. It would probably be over a millennia before the same level is reached again.

As a principal postwar philosopher of NS you seem to be the first to have given a star-bound vision to NS. Your vision is of mankind's evolution toward 'Homo Galactica' and a Galactic Empire. When and how did these concepts begin to take shape? What were the formative influences on it, and were there any philosophical or scientific precursors to you?

Ever since I was twelve or thirteen years of age I have known that our ultimate Destiny lies in the exploration and conquest of Outer Space. Since those years, the prospect has excited and intrigued me - as it excites and intrigues many young people. It was this which led me to study Physics and join a scientific society dedicated to encouraging Space travel. Like millions of others, I sat for hours on end to watch the live television broadcasts of the first human ever to walk on the surface of the moon. But I was also aware, at that time, that only a certain type of society could pursue and make real this ultimate Destiny - that it needed a new type of person, and a society dedicated to something more than self-gratification and materialism. What was needed was a society composed of noble individuals who strove to work together for the common good and who were ennobled by pursuing idealistic goals such as exploration and conquest.

When I first learned of the existence of National-Socialist Germany, at the age of fifteen, I knew intuitively that here was the type of society that was needed - or at least a prototype for it. And it was this knowledge, and my understanding of National-Socialism, which above anything else inspired me to become active in politics and forsake my dream of becoming a Physicist and finding some means to travel between the stars. I wanted and yearned to create the only type of society which could make this noble and glorious Destiny real. To me, the exploration and conquest of Outer Space - the creation of a Galactic Empire - is the ultimate practical expression of National-Socialism. It is our unique Destiny as a race - and our opportunity to achieve this is here, now, given our technology, our inventiveness, our heroism.

I hate the enemies of National-Socialism because I know that they are stifling and trying to destroy the heroic noble spirit of exploration and conquest which lives within our hearts and which alone raises us up out of the squalid mire of barbarism and selfish materialism. These enemies are trying - with their vapid materialism, their neurotic guilt, their obsession with sex - to kill our dreams.

They are trying to destroy what makes us unique and human. I have written and said what I have written and said about the Galactic Empire and National-Socialism because I feel these things deep within my own being. As to there being any philosophical or scientific precursors to this, I do not know.

Since you also write of NS as being a philosophy of BALANCE - re-atuning the individual and the folkish community to Nature - how can such a balance be maintained in the pursuit of a Galactic Empire which would obviously require a far more technological and scientific orientated society than at present? National-Socialism is harmonious, and thus a philosophy of balance, because it seeks to create a society, or a way of living, where the two things necessary for both health and advancement exist together, without conflict. Indeed, National-Socialism is so special, and so important for us, because it alone expresses how this can be done. To be fully healthy, as individuals, we need a harmonious, beautiful, environment, a sense of belonging and a sense of purpose. These things mean Blood and Soil - an awareness of our heritage, our place 'in the scheme of things'; an awareness of our duties and responsibilities toward our folk-community and our race. Blood and Soil also mean a sense of belonging: a homeland; somewhere special for us, where we belong. But to advance, to evolve, we need change, challenges, a spirit of adventure. Otherwise there is stagnation and decay. Change means growth, and technology. A society is organic and healthy if it preserves what is best, and yet allows for growth, change and expansion. That is, there is a controlled balance maintained between Blood and Soil and Conquest and Exploration. What maintains this balance is a conscious awareness - an understanding that both are necessary and vital for a society to function properly and evolve naturally, in accordance with Nature.

National-Socialism accepts that individuals should fulfill the role which is suited to their character, talents and abilities, and it aims to create the type of society where individuals can make the best use of their talents and abilities. That is, National-Socialism values personal character, as it accepts that some people are suited to say, farming and husbandry, while others are more suited to scientific work, or being a warrior. What matters is that the work an individual does is respected; that all types of work are seen as dignified and necessary for the good of the whole society.

National-Socialism aims to harness and control growth and technology for the good of the folk, as it aims to preserve what is essential for individual health, what is essential for producing healthy children: Blood and Soil. By creating a healthy environment - and thus healthy children - by controlling and harnessing growth and technology, and by using these to pursue an idealistic noble goal such as the creation of a Galactic Empire, a real, conscious, balance can be created, for the first time in our conscious evolution. Further, because National-Socialism is a conscious expression of the wisdom of thousands of years of civilization, its organizations and structures aim to produce individuals of noble character, who can accept responsibility, who have judgement and who are instinctively wise. It is these individuals who can ensure such a balance is created and maintained.

Will there ever be a danger of stagnation and decay in the New Aeon as in all previous Aeons and their civilizations, or will the Galactic scope of the New Aeon give in an enduring (even eternal) quality that is unique to it? Once the Galactic Empire becomes real, with colonization of other star-systems, then a natural divergence will take place, and new, unique, civilizations arise. Each world, each outpost, as it developes, will go through cycles of change; some will evolve; some will decay with new life emerging from such decay. Providing such stellar seeding, such conquest of otherworlds, continues, so will this Aeon. But there will probably come a time when even this forward movement ceases, and decay and stagnation set in, with the structure of such an Empire collapsing. Then other aeons [plural] will emerge, in different places, and at different times.
